Jon Hippy's thoughts

As with Tyddyn Mon’s work on the farm and in our residential houses across Anglesey, we are all about new skills, new journeys and new beginnings, so this year’s festival is all about exactly that!! We have Ben Robertson, a very talented young guy, who is starting his musical journey and gaining acclaim wherever he plays. Galw, which means calling in welsh, are a very newly formed trio with some wonderful vocals and harmonies in welsh!!! They played their first gig at Steve Blackstone’s Secret Sessions. They were so good, I booked them !! They are working on their set for Folk on the Farm 2015 as we speak!! Spittin on a Roast are also newly formed, Colin Mudd came to 2014 festival and was singing and playing all weekend in the sessions in the cafe, and he is lead vocals in the band. See the full lineup on this page, some acts still to be confirmed and let you all know soon. We are hoping to have tickets on sale for January 2015. (Now on sale!)

Thank you all to supported us in July 2014. We tripled in size this year, the campsite was nearly full. Indeed some of you have attended from our first festival in 2013 and we hope to see you all in 2015. We have been mentioned at Radio 2 Folk Awards, listed in the Guardian newspaper and we also got a mention on Janice Long’s Radio 2 programme too. We are hoping Folk on the Farm will be a firm fixture in your Folk Calendar!!!

In July 2015 we are incorporating our summer fair on the Saturday which will bring its own attractions to the festival. Well, that’s all for now, but will be posting latest news on our new feature page to keep you up to date with progress. There are a few changes in the pipeline, so keep checking our page. See you all down on the farm in July 2015, tell your friends, it’s going to be a great weekend!!!

See you all in 2015 down on the Farm!!!
